WHAT IS DIRECT TO FILM PROCESS (DTF)/HEAT TRANSFER?

DTF is a process that transfers prints onto fabric or other apparel items using a heat-press mechanism.  Unlike the DTF (direct to garment) method, which only works on cotton fabrics, the DTF method can work on a variety of surfaces and materials. Time for Tees owns an industrial DTF 24H2 printer which allows us to produce THOUSANDS of prints per week.  Not only can we make apparel FOR you with our DTF machine, but if you are a screen-printing business or a small business owner who uses transfers, we can PRODUCE transfers for you as well!

What are TRANSFERS?

Transfers are CUSTOM DESIGNS made by our graphic designer OR customer designs,  that are printed onto a film using an UNLIMITED amount of colors and details. Once the print has been transferred to the film, it allows you to print the design directly to the intended surface (i.e. tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, bags, umbrellas etc.)

It allows easy printing on cotton, polyester, synthetic, or silk as well as many other fabrics without any trouble.  DTF transfers can also work on both dark and white fabric.  DTF transfers are easily printed and transported if you like to do your own heat pressing or like to take your show on the road!
